Timer and stopwatch
A countdown timer and a stopwatch in one. Set a time and count down - when it runs out the display turns bright and counts the overtime - or switch to the stopwatch and count up with laps. Everything runs in your browser - nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Two tools in one. The countdown timer lets you set hours, minutes, and seconds - or tap a quick preset like 5 or 25 minutes - then start, pause, and reset. When it reaches zero it does not just stop: the display turns bright and counts the overtime (+MM:SS), so you can see at a glance how long ago time ran out even if you looked away. The stopwatch counts up with hundredths of a second and records lap times.
Both clocks are timestamp-based, which means they stay accurate even if the tab is in the background and the browser slows its updates: the time is worked out from the actual clock, not from counting ticks, so it never drifts. Everything runs in your browser - nothing is uploaded - and there is no sound, so the bright overtime display is the cue that a countdown has finished.
Example. Tap the 5 min preset, press Start, and it counts down from 05:00. When it hits zero the display turns bright and shows +00:12 twelve seconds later. Switch to Stopwatch, press Start, and tap Lap to capture split times as it counts up.
FAQ
What happens when the countdown reaches zero?
There is no alarm sound. Instead the display turns bright and starts counting upward from zero (+MM:SS), so you can see how much time has passed since it finished. It keeps counting the overtime until you reset it.
Does the timer keep accurate time in a background tab?
Yes. Both the countdown and stopwatch are based on the real clock rather than counting frames, so when a background tab is throttled by the browser the displayed time catches up correctly as soon as you return to it.
Can I use it as a stopwatch with laps?
Yes. Switch to Stopwatch mode and use Start, Pause, and Reset; the Lap button records the current time to a list so you can capture splits while it keeps running.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded it runs entirely in your browser with no network needed, and the site is installable, so the timer keeps working without a connection.
